An Undercounter Refrigerator/Freezer Combo covers three bases with one player. In addition to the fact that you’re getting 9 cubic feet of storage space in both the refrigerator and freezer sections, you’re also getting a 16 gauge stainless steel work surface top. The interior and exterior are both constructed of stainless steel, and 2.5″Deep polyurethane insulation protects the needed temperature of the unit. The slide-out condenser is located in a removable side-panel and is readily accessed for cleaning and maintenance. R-404A refrigerant is used, and that’s an environmentally safe choice. The air defrost operates differently for the two compartments of the unit. It’s temperature initiated and terminated for the refrigerator compartment. For the freezer, it’s timed, and can be set to operate every 3 to 12 hours, and it’s terminated by both time and temperature, just to be on the safe side. The doors are sleek and stylish, with rounded corners and recessed handles. They have perimeter frame heaters to block the spread of condensation. Both the refrigerator and the freezer have two epoxy coated wire shelves each. The interior lighting is safety-shielded. The temperature range for the refrigerator is 33 to 41F and the range for the freezer is -10 to 32F. Push button controls allow you to set and adjust these temperatures as necessary. A microchip audits many functions of the unit, including the temperature. You can see for yourself where the respective temperatures stand with a speedy check of the digital display.
